A Mission of Wholeness

A Seventh-day Adventist Organization

2015 General Conference Session

Loma Linda University Health

Thank you for your interest in Loma Linda University Health and for visiting the Mission of Wholeness exhibit at the General Conference Session of Seventh-day Adventists. Our mission as a global ministry of the Seventh-day Adventist church is to further the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ "to make man whole" through:

Clinical Care

Committed to care. Our belief in treating the whole person is why we have some of the nation's most advanced clinical programs. We're focused on helping our patients stay well.

Education

Innovation starts here. The way we learn to practice medicine and provide healthcare services goes beyond the classroom and into our communities to help everyone live the life they deserve.

Research

Finding answers to better health. Every day our world-renowned scientists strive to advance the ways we think about wholeness and medicine. We're passionate about discovering new ways to improve lives.

Wholeness

It's how we live. No matter where you are in your journey to health, we have the resources you need to stay well. We're dedicated to creating a community of healthier living.

A Mission of Wholeness

The exhibit at the General Conference is comprised of a number of areas and displays where you can learn more about the ministry, history, and future of Loma Linda University Health.

A full-size replica of the sculpture by Victor Issa recalls the moment Ellen White visited Loma Linda on June 12, 1905, and knew it to be the location she had seen in a vision. The sculpture was unveiled in 2014, and the replica was created especially for the 2015 GC Session.
The centerpiece of the Centennial Pathway on our campus is the Mission Globe, a 26-foot stylized globe. Loma Linda University Health’s commitment to global missions is one of the hallmarks of our history. The scale model of the globe in the center of the exhibit is testimony to the importance of global mission outreach in our work.
Join senior Loma Linda executives and personalities in exploring the work that has made Loma Linda University Health known for teaching, healing, and research throughout the world, and a center of unparalleled global outreach. Discover how the Vision 2020 Campaign for a Whole Tomorrow is responding to the immediate challenge of renewal of the core facilities on the Loma Linda campus, and learn about the vision for growth that will allow the mission of fulfilling the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus to flourish and to serve the church and the world into the future.
Please join us in our special screening area dedicated to inspiring and informative films about the work of Loma Linda University Health. Among the films being shown in the theater, we are featuring a “sneak peak” at the second season of our award-winning PBS Series, “Life on the Line.” Each film will be introduced by a senior producer or project participant, and there will also be time to meet and talk with the producers.
Arrayed around the Mission Globe in the exhibit are special interactive monitors with dozens of short programs that enable visitors to discover and explore the diverse and fascinating ministry of Loma Linda University Health. Learn about our schools and educational programs, our hospitals and clinical services, our research and innovations—how the exhibit provides an overarching framework for our mission and ministry.

If you are planning to be in San Antonio for the General Conference Session, we invite you to visit the “Loma Linda University Health: A Mission of Wholeness” exhibit.

We are eager to provide you with the resources you need to learn about our ministry and work. Use the Interest Form link if you would like to receive more information about Loma Linda University Health.
